½ Cup of Sugar
½ Cup of Cocoa Powder
½ Teaspoon of Salt
3 Tablespoons of Cornstarch
1 ½ Cups of Milk
1 ½ Cups of Half and Half
3 Eggs Yolks, slightly beaten
1 ½ Tablespoons of Vanilla
Step 1:
Mix in sauce pan first four ingredients over medium heat
Step 2:
Gradually stir in milk, stirring contantly until the mixture thickens and boils(bubbles at edge)
Step 3:
Boil for one minute
Step 4:
Remove from heat
Step 5:
Temper the eggs: Take whisk from chocolate mixture and mix into the eggs bringing some the mixture into the eggs, repeat about 10 times
Step 6:
Then blend into hot mixture in sauce pan
Step 7:
Boil for one more minute stirring constantly
Step 8:
Remove from heat
Step 9:
Mix in vanilla
Step 10:
Pour immediately into baked pie shell
Step 11:
Refridgerate
